Stadia Utilities partners with Twycross Zoo to support conservation efforts

Twycross Zoo, a leading UK conservation charity, has announced a new strategic partnership with Stadia Utilities. The partnership will see Stadia Utilities manage the zoo’s utility portfolio, helping to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and explore innovative greener energy solutions in support of the zoo’s long-term sustainability.

Founded in 1963, Twycross Zoo is a world-leading charity dedicated to protecting endangered species and driving forward global conservation action. As part of its charitable mission, the zoo is committed to reducing its environmental impact and ensuring its resources are managed responsibly — making this new partnership with Stadia Utilities a significant step towards strengthening operational resilience and sustainability.

Since 2009, Stadia Utilities has been helping businesses take the stress out of managing utility suppliers. Simplifying complex procurement, cutting unnecessary costs, and improving efficiency for their clients.

Gerard Birkinshaw, Managing Director at Stadia Utilities, said: “We’re proud to partner with Twycross Zoo to manage their utility portfolio and explore innovative, greener energy solutions wherever possible.” “It’s a privilege to support their vital conservation work, and we’re especially honoured to name Twycross Zoo as our Official Charity Partner.”

As part of the agreement, Twycross Zoo will also be named Stadia Utilities’ Charity Partner of the Year, receiving additional financial support and resource to help advance its conservation work both in the UK and internationally.

Craig Dunkerley, CEO of Twycross Zoo, said: “As a conservation charity, every partnership helps us to strengthen our impact. We are delighted to work with Stadia Utilities, whose expertise and commitment to greener solutions will directly support our mission to protect some of the world’s most endangered species.” “Their support will not only help us to operate more efficiently as a business but also enable us to channel more resource into our critical conservation programmes.”

This partnership highlights Twycross Zoo’s commitment to forging strong corporate relationships that align with its values, ensuring that as a charity it can continue to deliver global impact while maintaining operational excellence at home.
