The Challenge
Prior to working with us, Sundown Adventureland was managing multiple contractors across a range of utility and waste services. Coordinating these suppliers created complexity and placed a strain on time for the park’s management team. With the demands of a busy theme park environment, they needed a more streamlined approach that would allow them to focus fully on what matters most – delivering a fantastic guest experience.
The Solution
We introduced a fully managed, all-in-one utilities and waste management solution. Acting as a single point of contact, we now oversee a complex on-site waste operation, including:
- 9 permanent waste containers and a static waste compactor unit
- Management of 6 different waste streams
- Coordination of 6 specialised suppliers, covering waste disposal and equipment maintenance
Services are delivered through a tailored combination of scheduled collections and flexible ad-hoc support, ensuring the park’s changing demands are consistently met throughout the season.
The Results
The impact of this partnership is reflected in both operational efficiency and measurable outcomes. In 2025 alone, we organised over 220 scheduled services, safely removing more than 130 tonnes of waste from the park, including:
- 106 tonnes of general waste
- 5 tonnes of wood waste
- 10 tonnes of cardboard and paper
- 7 tonnes of food waste
- Ongoing disposal of glass and human waste
Beyond day-to-day operations, we also provide specialist support for major projects. This included managing the safe disposal of contaminated wood and construction waste during the recent Galleon area refurbishment.
